Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Hospital in Mason City, IA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide surgical technology services for neurosurgery team
• Work varying shifts of 8-10 hours depending on department needs, mostly days
• Participate in on-call rotation as assigned
• Cover every 3rd weekend on-call requirement
• Participate in holiday rotation as part of on-call team
• Complete Trinity Child and Adult Dependent Abuse Training
• Complete Trinity Skills Checklist and specialty specific competency testing
• Maintain current license/certificate verification
• Complete required health screenings including fit test, drug screen, and physical
• Obtain and maintain required vaccinations including COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, PPD/IGRA, and Varicella
• Complete Trinity Code of Conduct and confidentiality agreements
• Pass Trinity Joint Commission Testing
• Complete criminal background check and integrity screening
• Maintain education verification and professional profile
• Complete color vision testing as required
• Adhere to facility policies and procedures for surgical services
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in IA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
