Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - L&D to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Torrance, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Work as a Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery specialty
• Maintain expert precepting skills and ability to precept other staff
• Work flexible schedule including weekends as required
• Maintain current ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BCLS, FHM, and NRP certifications
• Float between like units including mother baby unit as needed
• Float between affiliate hospitals when required
• Utilize Epic charting system for documentation
• Commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Maintain valid CA state RN license
• Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within last 3 years
• Complete required modules pre-start and annually (average 16 hours, non-billable)
• Self-report time spent on training modules
• Submit module completion records in Workramp transcripts
• Disclose any license or background hits upfront at time of submission
• Use facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
• Submit monthly cell phone bills directly to agency when applicable
• Adhere to facility policies and procedures
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
