Mammography Rad Tech for Small Critical Access Hospital in Homer, Alaska
Starting Salary: $39.91 – $54.86/hr and up (rate of pay range quoted is for 2-30 years of experience, with the ARRT RT certification and MRI certification. Pay is higher with CT certification, PLUS, when applicable; shift differentials
Relocation Bonus: In addition to your hourly wages, you will be paid a relocation bonus of
- $20,000.00, payable in two (2) equal installments:
- $10,000 payable on the pay date that corresponds with the pay period after the first full week of work.
- $10,000 payable upon successful completion of six (6) months of employment.
- $20,000.00 is for out of state relocation
- $15,000.00 is for in-state relocation
What you'll do:
MAMMOGRAPHY TECH / RAD TECH
- Be a member of the Medical Imaging team to provide clinical radiographs as directed by physicians or radiologists in accordance with established standards and practices.
- Be responsible for the day-to-day regulatory requirements and certification in mammography in conjunction with the Director of Imaging.
- Provide direct patient care and radiology services within the boundaries of local, state and federal regulations.
- Be responsible for training and mentoring radiology technologists cross-training in mammography.
Requirements:
- ARRT R certification. Required
- Be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or GED.
- Successfully completed an AMA approved Radiologic Technologist training course. Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Maintain registration with the ARRT on an annual basis.
- Be certified in the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist specialty of Mammography.
- Have at least eight hours of mammography specific training in digital mammography and eight hours of digital breast tomosynthesis specific training with recent experience working in Mammography and general Radiology.
- Keep current with CEU credits as required by the ARRT and Mammography specific CEU credits as required by ACR and MQSA.
- Demonstrated ability to lift up to 50 pounds, without self injury, as well as ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time, including stooping and sitting.
