Required Experience: Blood Bank Lead. Candidate must have taken a blood bank through inspection. Candidate must be a specialist in Blood Bank, not a generalist.
Specimen Processing/Handling, Epic.
Candidates will only be considered if they can answer YES to questions 1 & 2.
- Have you been in charge of a blood bank?
- Have you taken a blood bank through an inspection as a blood bank lead or supervisor?
- Are you familiar with The Joint Commission Standards and FDA regulations for blood bank?
Have you been responsible for the following:
- Monthly quality and quality control review report for blood bank
- Policies and procedure review and update for blood bank

Submitting an FDA reportable event
Looking for a previous Blood Bank lead or supervisor with experience running a Blood Bank. Preferably from a large facility that has been completing all testing in house. This assignment is to assess the operations of our Blood Bank and assess inspection readiness. Then offer suggestions and help with implementation of changes. Candidate must have passed at least one inspection with one of the regulatory agencies.
