Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - L&D to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Polson, MT. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care in Labor & Delivery and LDRP units covering all areas of OB including newborn care • Care for patients across age groups including neonates, infants, and adults • Maintain patient ratios ranging from 1:1 to 6:1 as required • Perform sterile vaginal exams and triage of obstetrical patients • Circulate for C-sections and assist with cesarean deliveries • Provide care for patients with diagnoses including PIH and NAS • Utilize wireless fetal monitoring and JADA device for PPH management • Complete Epic charting system documentation for all patient care activities • Float between units as needed to provide assistance with skills, answer phones, and perform IV starts • Take call maximum once per pay period with 30-minute callback time • Work weekend shifts evenly distributed among nursing staff • Maintain current BLS, NRP, CLC, and Stable certifications • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules averaging 16 hours • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Complete 24-hour orientation program upon assignment start • Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within last 3 years • Maintain valid MT or Compact RN licensure throughout assignment • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, and Pharmacy • Complete compliance documentation by Monday prior to start date • Adhere to facility policies and procedures for patient care delivery
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in MT
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
