Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate PT - Physical Therapist to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide physical therapy services in acute care setting working 4x10 shifts (Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday) • Maintain current Arizona state Physical Therapist license and BLS certification • Obtain and maintain Arizona fingerprint clearance card • Work weekend days as required by department schedule • Provide physical therapy services to adult and geriatric patient populations • Manage moderate to maximum assist patients and perform co-treatments • Work with ventilated patients and adapt to changing patient needs throughout the day • Pick up additional evaluations as needed throughout the day • Utilize Cerner charting system for documentation • Float to surrounding clinics and affiliate hospitals as needed • Complete required orientation modules and training programs (average 6 hours) • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (New Year's Day, Memorial Day Weekend, 4th of July Weekend, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day) • Provide patient care in ER and Medical Surgical units (required experience) • Provide patient transport to and from treatment areas • Complete wound care, cardiopulmonary, neurology, orthopedics, and other specialized physical therapy interventions • Conduct patient assessments, evaluations, and develop plans of care • Educate patients and families on home exercise programs • Maintain professional references and comply with background check requirements • Adhere to facility dress code (business casual) and safety standards • Complete compliance documentation within required timeframes
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AZ
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
