Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate PTA - Physical Therapist Assistant Rehab to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Hospital in Medford, OR. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide physical therapy assistant services with current Oregon state license
• Maintain current BLS certification throughout assignment
• Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually (approximately 16 hours)
• Work 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Utilize Epic charting system for patient documentation
• Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as needed
• Provide physical therapy services for adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• Perform orthopedic and outpatient clinic services
• Conduct range of motion exercises (AROM/AAROM/PROM)
• Assist patients with assistive devices and body mechanics
• Perform pain assessment and strength testing
• Provide gait training and extremity mobilization
• Administer therapeutic modalities including e-stim, ultrasound, cryotherapy, and TENS
• Develop and implement home exercise programs
• Assist with lifting and transfer techniques
• Handle insurance documentation for commercial, Medicaid, Medicare B, and workers compensation
• Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty
• Complete required compliance documentation and certifications
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Use facility-provided communication devices when required for patient care duties
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OR
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
