Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - ER to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Cottonwood, AZ. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide emergency department nursing care for patients of all age groups from neonates to geriatrics
• Maintain active, unrestricted Arizona RN license or valid compact license
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications
• Work 3x12 hour night shifts (7PM-7AM)
• Work every other weekend and 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Float to affiliate emergency department locations as required
• Utilize Cerner charting system for patient documentation
• Provide care for Level IV trauma patients and diverse patient population
• Perform triage duties and maintain patient ratios of 1:5
• Administer emergency medications and manage IV therapy
• Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias
• Obtain and interpret 12-lead EKGs
• Manage arterial lines and central line care
• Administer blood products and procedural sedation
• Care for patients with traumatic brain injuries and spinal cord injuries
• Manage patients requiring continuous IV sedation and paralytics
• Provide care for mental health and behavioral patients
• Complete required orientation modules and annual training programs
• Adhere to isolation precautions and infection control protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including respiratory, pharmacy, and social services
• Complete compliance documentation and maintain professional references
• Follow facility policies and procedures for emergency patient care delivery
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AZ
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
