Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RAD Tech - Interventional Rad Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Wilmington, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Scrub into endovascular cases to assist surgeons during procedures
• Operate and maintain Siemens equipment during cases
• Use PACS system to pull up imaging for procedures
• Run c-arm in open room for vascular surgeons during open vascular cases
• Perform laser-assisted procedures and interventional radiology procedures
• Conduct angioplasty, aortography, embolization, and endograft placement procedures
• Perform IVC filter placement and removal procedures
• Conduct various angiography procedures including mesenteric, pelvic, and renal angiography
• Perform stent placement and carotid stenting procedures
• Assist with central venous access and port placement
• Conduct dialysis graft creation, revision, and interventions
• Perform upper and lower extremity angiography
• Conduct thrombolysis and thrombectomy procedures
• Operate fluoroscopy and ultrasound equipment
• Perform accurate patient monitoring during procedures
• Set up equipment and prep access sites
• Maintain sterile field and utilize sterile technique
• Use vascular closure systems including Perclose and StarClose
• Maintain and stock medical equipment and supplies
• Follow isolation precautions and infection control protocols
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Use Epic documentation system for charting
• Work assigned call shifts including one night per week and every third weekend
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays as required
• Float to other units or affiliate hospitals as needed based on census
• Complete 80 hours of unit orientation training
• Maintain ARRT certification in required specialties
• Report to work during catastrophic events or mass casualty situations as part of Storm/Hurricane Team
• Adhere to fatigue policy restrictions on consecutive days and weekly hours
• Complete compliance documentation and maintain professional references
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
