Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Cath Lab to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Eureka, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive nursing care in the Cath Lab for cardiac and peripheral procedures • Perform diagnostic cardiac catheterizations for adults • Assist with interventional cardiac catheterization procedures • Support coronary diagnostic and intervention procedures • Assist with peripheral diagnostic and intervention procedures • Participate in permanent pacemaker insertion procedures • Monitor patients during procedural sedation • Administer emergency medications as needed • Manage cardiac dysrhythmias and interpret ECG findings • Assist with percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) • Support angioplasty and cardiac stent placement procedures • Assist with pacemaker insertion and programming of AICDs • Perform sheath removal and post-procedure monitoring • Manage external compression devices and vascular closure systems • Assist with central venous access and port placement • Monitor patients with pulmonary artery lines and Swan Ganz catheters • Administer blood products and manage IV infusion pumps • Obtain and interpret 12-lead EKGs • Maintain radiation and laser safety protocols • Circulate and scrub procedures as needed • Complete 30 hours of orientation training • Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications • Maintain valid ARRT certification and Fluoro permit • Utilize Epic charting system for documentation • Work weekend shifts and be available for call duties • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year) • Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as needed • Complete required modules pre-start and annually • Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Maintain valid California state nursing license • Comply with 50-mile local radius restrictions • Use facility-provided communication devices when required
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
