Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate PT - Physical Therapist to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide physical therapy services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Work Monday-Thursday 7:30am-6:00pm and Friday 8:00am-12:00pm schedule
• Maintain current BLS certification and valid state licensure
• Complete 16 hours of orientation and required training modules pre-start and annually
• Utilize Epic charting system for patient documentation
• Conduct patient assessments and evaluations
• Develop and implement treatment plans for various conditions including orthopedic injuries, joint replacements, and mobility issues
• Provide gait training, body mechanics instruction, and functional capacity examinations
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and injury prevention
• Perform wheelchair assessments and assistive device training
• Complete discharge planning and reassessments as needed
• Work with patients using various insurance types including Medicare, Medicaid, and Workers' Compensation
• Commit to working 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years
• Complete required compliance documentation and background checks
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required
• Float between sister facilities as assigned when needed
• Maintain 1:1 patient ratio during treatment sessions
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in TX
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
