Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate PT - Physical Therapist to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Hospital in Kodiak, AK. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide physical therapy services to patients of all ages and diagnoses in outpatient, inpatient, and skilled nursing facility settings
• Deliver specialized therapy services including wound care, lymphedema management, pelvic floor therapy, and pediatric treatments
• Maintain current BLS certification and valid state licensure
• Utilize Epic charting system for patient documentation
• Float within the hospital and to affiliate hospitals as needed to meet facility requirements
• Work 5x8 day shifts with weekend coverage as required
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules (averaging 16 hours)
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules with completion recorded in Workramp transcripts
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty/setting
• Perform patient evaluations, assessments, and develop individualized treatment plans
• Conduct gait training, therapeutic exercises, and use of assistive devices
• Provide patient and family education on treatment plans and home exercise programs
• Maintain professional standards and adhere to facility policies and procedures
• Use facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AK
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
