Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate CNA - LTC to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading LTC in Kodiak, AK. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide long-term care services as a Certified Nursing Assistant
• Maintain current BLS certification throughout assignment
• Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Utilize Epic charting system for patient documentation
• Float within hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including dementia and CVA
• Maintain patient ratios of 4 patients during days and 6 patients during nights
• Assist with activities of daily living including ambulation, feeding, and personal care
• Perform complete bed baths, linen changes, and skin care
• Assist with turning and repositioning patients for pressure injury prevention
• Provide incontinence care and perineal care for male and female patients
• Monitor oxygen tanks and pulse oximetry
• Obtain vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respirations
• Perform glucose point of care testing
• Practice proper donning and removing of PPE and isolation precautions
• Execute safe patient transfers and mobility assistance
• Report changes in patient condition to appropriate supervisory staff
• Complete required compliance documentation and maintain valid state CNA licensure
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Use facility-provided communication devices when required for patient care duties
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AK
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
