Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Echo Technologist - Echo Tech to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform echocardiograms using 2-D and 3-D echo techniques in echo suite with two rooms
• Conduct portable echocardiographic scans in ICU and other patient care areas as needed
• Perform echocardiographic procedures on adult and geriatric patients
• Handle cases including ICU, Emergency Department, Inpatient, and Outpatient studies
• Conduct specialized procedures including bubble studies, pharmacologic stress echo, and treadmill stress echo
• Perform transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE) when required
• Utilize PACS system for image management and documentation
• Document patient procedures and findings using Cerner charting system
• Administer imaging with contrast agents following established protocols
• Maintain proper isolation precautions for COVID-positive and other infectious patients
• Operate Philips echocardiography equipment and other specialized cardiac imaging devices
• Evaluate Right Ventricular Inflow Tract (RVIT) and Right Ventricular Outflow Tract (RVOT)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Respiratory Services, Radiology, and Rapid Response Teams
• Complete approximately 8 cases per day as assigned
• Maintain current BLS certification and state licensure
• Maintain current RDCS or RCS certification
• Complete required compliance documentation and vaccinations
• Participate in 16-hour orientation program
• Work 5x8 day shifts as scheduled
• Adhere to facility policies and procedures for patient care delivery
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in MA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
