Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist - CT Tech to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform CT scans including head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, and vascular studies with and without contrast
• Execute specialized CT procedures such as brain perfusion, enterography studies, and vascular CTA
• Prepare and administer contrast media safely and appropriately
• Utilize 3D rendering techniques including maximum intensity projection, surface shaded displays, and volume rendering
• Perform multiplanar reconstruction (MPR) and region of interest measurements (ROI)
• Operate Phillips 64 slice Brillance-CT scanner and associated equipment
• Cover X-ray duties when needed and operate Phillips X-ray equipment
• Start peripheral IVs and perform venipuncture procedures
• Provide imaging services for all age groups including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, and adults
• Work in emergency department, ICU, and acute care settings
• Handle trauma cases and musculoskeletal trauma imaging
• Follow radiation safety protocols and isolation precautions
• Document procedures and maintain records using Epic charting system
• Utilize PACS system for image storage and retrieval
• Provide on-call coverage for 2-3 hours at the end of each shift
• Float between departments within the hospital and to affiliate hospitals as needed
• Work night shifts Friday through Sunday (5pm-5:30am)
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Maintain current BLS certification and ARRT-CT, ARRT-R certifications
• Complete required training modules pre-start and annually
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment
• Maintain valid state licensure
• Use facility-provided communication devices when required
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AK
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
