Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - OR to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Santa Rosa, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide registered nursing care in the operating room with focus on trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic procedures
• Maintain current BLS certification throughout assignment
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules (average 16 hours, non-billable)
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Utilize Epic charting system for documentation and patient care
• Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as assigned
• Participate in on-call rotation distributed equally among nursing staff every 6 weeks (up to 6-8 shifts per rotation)
• Cover night shifts as needed within contract (1900-0730)
• Provide direct patient care for all age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Assist with complex surgical procedures including robotics, general surgery, GU, GYN, and trauma cases
• Operate and maintain specialized surgical equipment including Da Vinci Xi Surgical System
• Respond to emergency codes and trauma situations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Maintain valid state licensure and provide minimum of 2 supervisory references
• Complete required compliance documentation and certifications
• Adhere to universal protocol procedures and infection control standards
• Self-report time spent on training modules and maintain completion records
• Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
