Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate SLP - SLP to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Hospital in Napa, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide Speech-Language Pathology services for inpatient and outpatient populations • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations and assessments • Perform bedside swallow evaluations and interpret modified barium swallow studies • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with communication and swallowing disorders • Treat patients with stroke, TBI, trauma, cardiac, spinal injuries, neurological disorders, and amputations • Provide therapy for dysarthria, dysphagia, voice, fluency, and oral motor disorders • Educate patients and families on compensatory strategies and treatment techniques • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Social Services, and other departments • Document patient care using Epic charting system • Modify diet orders and implement thickening agents as appropriate • Work with tracheostomy and ventilator-dependent patients • Conduct patient reassessments and discharge planning • Float between acute care floors and affiliate hospitals as needed • Work one weekend day per week and 2 out of 3 major holidays • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules • Maintain current BLS certification and valid state licensure • Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment • Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
