Position Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as Director of Nursing (DON) overseeing nursing operations and staff management
• Ensure compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations and standards
• Develop, implement, and monitor nursing policies and procedures
• Supervise and evaluate nursing staff performance
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care
• Manage nursing department budget and resource allocation
• Conduct staff meetings and provide ongoing education and training
• Investigate and resolve patient care issues and complaints
• Maintain current nursing licensure and required certifications
• Ensure proper staffing levels and scheduling coordination
• Oversee infection control and safety protocols
• Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives
• Document and report incidents according to facility protocols
• Coordinate with physicians and other healthcare professionals
• Ensure accurate maintenance of patient records and documentation
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in MA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
