Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Cath Lab Technologist - Cath Lab Tech to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform catheterization laboratory procedures and assist physicians during cardiac interventions
• Maintain current RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) certification
• Maintain current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Work scheduled shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM with on-call requirements
• Operate specialized cardiac catheterization equipment and monitoring devices
• Prepare and maintain sterile field for cardiac procedures
• Monitor patient vital signs and cardiac rhythms during procedures
• Assist with patient positioning and comfort during interventions
• Document procedure information and patient responses accurately
• Maintain and troubleshoot catheterization laboratory equipment
• Follow radiation safety protocols and minimize exposure
• Complete required competency testing and skills assessments
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols
• Participate in emergency response procedures as needed
• Collaborate with cardiovascular team members and physicians
• Complete mandatory health screenings and vaccinations
• Maintain valid state licensure and professional certifications
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in MI
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
