Position Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct and indirect care for a group of patients for a designated time frame
• Utilize the nursing process as the basis for care including assessment of biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational and discharge planning factors
• Plan and prescribe nursing interventions for patient care
• Implement prescribed nursing interventions and evaluate care rendered
• Demonstrate knowledge of principles of growth and development over the life span
• Assess data reflective of patient's age and status
• Interpret appropriate information needed to prescribe and provide care
• Follow unit and hospital policies and procedures
• Provide care for patients across the age spectrum as designated
• Complete skills checklist within one year of application
• Maintain current BLS (AHA) certification
• Maintain valid Michigan state nursing license
• Work on-call shifts including weekends and holidays
• Provide minimum 1+ year of Medical/Surgical experience
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in MI
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
