Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Med Surg to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in DeWitt, IA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide registered nursing care in medical surgical unit setting
• Work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts
• Complete Child and Adult Dependent Abuse Training
• Complete required skills checklist and specialty specific competency testing
• Maintain current nursing license and complete license verification
• Complete required drug screening and physical/health statement
• Obtain required immunizations including COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, and Varicella vaccines
• Complete tuberculosis screening via 2 Step PPD or IGRA testing
• Complete fit testing for respiratory protection equipment
• Complete color vision testing
• Sign Code of Conduct and patient confidentiality agreements
• Complete criminal background check and education verification
• Complete Joint Commission required testing and training modules
• Maintain professional liability insurance coverage
• Complete conflict of interest disclosure and integrity forms
• Adhere to facility policies and procedures for patient care delivery
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in IA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
