Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Cardiac Tele to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Salisbury, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care for cardiac and stroke patients including pre/post care for pacemaker implantation, defibrillators, and cardiac catheterization
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:5-6 patients in a fast-paced environment with high patient turnover
• Administer and titrate cardiac drips including Cardizem, Dopamine, and Amiodarone
• Perform IV starts and telemetry monitoring for cardiac patients
• Provide care for patients with CHF, dysrhythmias, CVA, TIA, unstable angina, and chest pain
• Handle pre and post procedure care for cardiac interventions and peripheral vascular procedures
• Monitor patients on high flow oxygen, non-rebreather masks, and chronic BIPAP
• Care for COVID positive patients utilizing opti-flow and BIPAP during surges
• Complete documentation using Epic (Dimensions) system and communicate using SBAR
• Utilize telemetry, pulse oximetry, and specialized cardiac equipment
• Take call as required based on patient census
• Float to other units within the hospital or affiliate facilities as needed
• Work every other weekend, 2 Mondays and 2 Fridays in a 6-week period
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15
• Complete 36 hours of unit orientation and pass EKG testing prior to start
• Complete required non-billable training modules pre-start and annually
• Maintain current ACLS, BCLS, and NIH certifications
• Adhere to self-scheduling guidelines with leadership oversight
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays as required
• Comply with uniform requirements of navy blue or white scrubs
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
