Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate PTA - SNF to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Rehab in Waldorf, MD. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide physical therapy assistant services under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist
• Implement treatment plans and therapeutic interventions as directed
• Document patient progress and treatment sessions accurately
• Maintain current PTA licensure and certification requirements
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and mobility training
• Monitor patient responses to treatment and report changes to supervising therapist
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safety precautions
• Maintain professional standards and ethical practices
• Participate in continuing education and professional development activities
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in MD
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
