Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Hospital in Petaluma, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform surgical technician duties with minimum 2 years experience in all Ortho procedures
• Work 5x8 day shifts with one to two PM (1500) shifts per week
• Take one night shift call per week and call every 2nd or 3rd Saturday or Sunday (24 hours)
• Respond to on-call duties within 30 minutes when required
• Maintain current BLS certification
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Utilize Epic charting system for documentation
• Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as needed
• Maintain valid CA license
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty/setting
• Complete required modules pre-start and annually (average 16 hours, non-billable)
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Use facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
• Comply with facility dress code requirements
• Complete required compliance documentation and certifications
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
