Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Silver Spring, MD. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide surgical technology services in busy surgical department
• Work Monday through Friday, 0700-1730 shift schedule
• Maintain valid state licensure and certification verification
• Complete required onboarding documentation and forms
• Pass specialty-specific competency testing
• Complete skills checklist requirements
• Maintain current immunization requirements including COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and Tdap vaccines
• Complete tuberculosis screening via 2 Step PPD or IGRA testing
• Pass required drug screening and background checks
• Complete fit testing for respiratory protection
• Maintain color vision certification
• Complete annual influenza vaccination (optional)
• Submit to physical examination and health statement
• Comply with confidentiality and system security agreements
• Complete conflict of interest disclosure documentation
• Maintain professional liability insurance coverage
• Adhere to code of conduct and facility policies
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in MD
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
