Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Cardiac Tele to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Wilmington, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide cardiac telemetry nursing care with 1:6-7 patient ratios
• Monitor and interpret dysrhythmias and provide remote monitoring
• Provide pre/post cardiac catheterization care including sheath removal
• Provide pre/post cardiac surgery patient care
• Access ports and manage central line/PICC line care
• Administer blood products safely
• Titrate cardiac drips including Diltiazem, Amiodarone, Dobutamine, Milrinone, and Dopamine
• Perform sheath pulls, apply TR Bands, and manage Femstop devices
• Care for patients with congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, and post cardiac catheterization conditions
• Utilize EPIC documentation system and SBAR communication
• Maintain current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Pass EKG testing prior to assignment start
• Complete 24 hours of unit orientation
• Float to other units within hospital or affiliate hospitals as required
• Work night shifts in 3x12-hour schedule
• Work 5-6 weekend shifts per month (every other weekend)
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Participate in Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team assignments
• Report to work during catastrophic events, mass casualty situations, or disasters
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules (non-billable time)
• Adhere to facility fatigue policy of maximum 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week
• Complete required flu vaccination (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Maintain valid RN licensure (NC or Compact license accepted)
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
