Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Thomasville, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide surgical technology services with scrubbing experience in general, neuro, ortho, ENT, gyn, urology, endo, C-sections, ophthalmology, and laparoscopic procedures
• Maintain current BCLS certification
• Work 12-hour day shifts (7a-7p) on Saturday and Sunday plus one varying weekday
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays as required
• Float between rooms and units including Endo unit, SPD, and main OR as needed
• Demonstrate proficiency in endoscopy or C-section procedures
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules (non-billable)
• Perform duties in all areas of SPD including decontamination when needed
• Adhere to facility policies including fatigue policy limiting work to maximum 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week
• Complete compliance testing within 48 hours after signing
• Maintain valid state licensure or compact license
• Provide two manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months
• Complete required flu vaccination (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Participate in Epic charting system and other facility documentation requirements
• Comply with facility dress code and professional standards
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
