Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Cardiac Tele to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Salisbury, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive cardiac telemetry nursing care for pre and post procedure cardiac patients
• Monitor and care for patients with cardiac diagnoses including stable pre/post pacemaker implantation, cardioverter/defibrillator procedures, and cardiac catheterization
• Manage patient ratios of 1:5-6 patients in a fast-paced environment
• Administer and titrate cardiac drips including Cardizem, Dopamine, and Amiodarone
• Perform IV starts and telemetry monitoring for cardiac patients
• Care for stroke unit patients including new CVA and TIA patients
• Monitor patients on high flow oxygen, non-rebreather masks, and chronic BiPAP
• Handle rapid patient turnover of 78-90 patients per week
• Float to other units within the hospital or affiliate hospitals as needed
• Work weekend schedule covering Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night shifts (18:45-07:15)
• Participate in on-call responsibilities based on patient census
• Document patient care using Epic/Dimensions charting system
• Use SBAR communication methodology
• Complete required hospital orientation of 36 hours
• Pass EKG testing prior to assignment start
• Complete required non-billable training modules pre-start and annually
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Maintain current ACLS, BCLS, and NIH certifications
• Comply with facility dress code requirements (navy blue or white scrubs)
• Follow facility fatigue policy (no more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week)
• Provide care for COVID positive patients using opti-flow and BiPAP when required
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
