Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - ER to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Silver Spring, MD. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care services in a busy emergency room environment
• Work every other weekend as scheduled
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications
• Complete license/certificate verification requirements
• Undergo required health screenings including fit testing and drug screening
• Complete mandatory compliance forms and agreements
• Participate in specialty-specific competency testing
• Maintain required immunizations including COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, and Varicella
• Complete tuberculosis screening via 2-step PPD or IGRA testing
• Undergo criminal background check and reference verification
• Complete required education verification and professional credentialing
• Participate in Joint Commission testing and training requirements
• Complete respirator evaluation and health assessments
• Adhere to conflict of interest and integrity policies
• Maintain valid state nursing licensure
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in MD
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
