Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - PCU to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Salem, OR. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care in MS/Tele units as part of float pool team • Manage telemetry monitoring and interpret cardiac rhythms • Manage dysrhythmias and administer cardiac drips (nitro, Cardizem, amiodarone) • Perform non-invasive airway management and O2 protocol implementation • Provide peripheral line care and management • Maintain isolation precautions and proper PPE usage • Activate rapid response teams when necessary • Complete computerized documentation using Epic charting system • Maintain patient ratios of 1:4-6 as assigned • Float between units including MS/Tele/Stepdown/IMC units as needed • Float to affiliate hospitals including West Valley Hospital when required • Administer blood products and manage various medical equipment • Provide care for chest tubes, feeding tubes, and tracheostomy management • Monitor and titrate insulin protocols and vasoactive drips • Manage patients with craniotomy, CVA, intracranial bleeds, and traumatic brain injuries • Provide pre/post cardiac catheterization and hemodialysis management care • Perform phlebotomy and maintain IV access • Manage PCA pumps and surgical drains • Provide wound care including wound vac management • Complete required modules pre-start and annually (non-billable, up to 8 hours) • Maintain current BLS and other required certifications • Work every other weekend as scheduled • Comply with facility policies and procedures
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OR
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
