Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate CNA - LTC to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x12 Rotating at a leading LTC in Seward, AK. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care as a Certified Nursing Assistant in long-term care setting
• Assist with activities of daily living including feeding, bathing, and mobility support
• Monitor and obtain vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respirations
• Assist with patient transfers, turning, and repositioning for comfort and safety
• Provide personal care including bed baths, perineal care, and assistance with grooming
• Document patient care activities and observations using ECS charting system
• Maintain infection control practices including proper use of isolation precautions and PPE
• Assist with feeding patients and provide mouth care as needed
• Monitor glucose levels using point-of-care testing equipment
• Provide incontinence care and maintain patient dignity and comfort
• Report changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly
• Maintain current BLS certification throughout assignment
• Float to affiliate hospitals and units as needed to meet staffing requirements
• Work variable shift schedule including days or nights as assigned
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Work minimum of 2 out of 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering required employment history
• Maintain valid state CNA licensure or complete pending license requirements
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Use facility-provided communication devices when required for patient care duties
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AK
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
