Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate PT - Physical Therapist to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Hospital in Lubbock, TX. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide physical therapy services in acute care setting for adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients • Maintain current BLS certification and valid state licensure • Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually (average 16 hours) • Commit to working 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) • Utilize Epic charting system for patient documentation and care coordination • Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as needed • Provide physical therapy services with 1:1 patient ratios • Work with patients having conditions including orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions, post-surgical rehabilitation, and traumatic injuries • Conduct patient assessments, evaluations, and discharge planning • Provide patient and family education including home exercise programs • Perform gait training and mobility assessment using appropriate equipment and safety measures • Collaborate with interdisciplinary physical therapy team • Maintain minimum of 1 year experience in required specialty areas • Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty setting • Complete required compliance documentation and background checks • Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules and maintain completion records • Adhere to facility dress code and parking policies • Complete 8-hour orientation program upon assignment start
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in TX
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
