Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate CNA - LTC to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x12 Rotating at a leading LTC in Seward, AK. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide patient care services as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a Long Term Care facility
• Maintain current BLS certification throughout assignment
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules (averaging 16 hours, non-billable)
• Work variable 4x12 or 3x12 hour shifts (Days or Nights)
• Work at least 2 of the 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
• Utilize ECS charting system for documentation
• Float within the facility and to affiliate hospitals as needed
• Maintain valid Alaska CNA license or complete application process within 72 hours of contract signing
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 6 months of LTC employment within last 3 years
• Complete required compliance documentation and certifications including Hepatitis B vaccination
• Perform patient care duties including vital signs, assistance with activities of daily living, and mobility assistance
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to supervisory staff
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with conditions including dementia, Alzheimer's, TBI, and psychological behaviors
• Operate medical equipment including Skylifts, Hoyers, and vital sign machines
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:20 during day shifts and 1:10 during night shifts
• Use facility-provided communication devices when required for patient care duties
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules through Workramp transcripts
• Adhere to facility policies and procedures for Long Term Care patient management
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AK
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
