Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Tele to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Wilmington, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide telemetry and PCU/DOU/IMC/stepdown nursing care with 2+ years minimum experience
• Interpret dysrhythmias and perform remote monitoring
• Provide pre/post cardiac catheterization and cardiac surgery care
• Perform sheath removal procedures
• Access and manage ports, central lines, and PICC lines
• Administer blood products
• Titrate cardiac drips including Diltiazem and Amiodarone
• Manage cardiac drips such as Dobutamine, Cardizem, Milrinone, and Dopamine
• Perform sheath pulls, TR bands, and Femstop procedures
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:6-7
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15
• Float between units and sister facilities as needed, potentially every shift
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Work 5-6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period
• Complete 24 hours of unit orientation
• Pass EKG testing prior to start
• Maintain current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Utilize Epic documentation system and SBAR communication
• Complete 8-10 hours of non-billable pre-start and annual training modules
• Adhere to fatigue policy limiting work to 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week
• Participate in Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team assignments as needed
• Work with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Provide care for patients with congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, and pacemaker/ICD implantations
• Maintain teamwork approach and meet behavioral expectations in all patient and staff interactions
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
