Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - PCU to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Charlotte, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care to intermediate population patients with neurological and medical conditions • Maintain patient ratios of 1:3-4 during days, nights, and weekends • Maintain current ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications • Demonstrate competency in telemetry monitoring, IV starts, and drip administration • Utilize Epic charting system for patient documentation • Pass EKG testing prior to start date • Complete 32 hours of orientation including computer class and unit shifts • Complete 8-10 hours of non-billable modules pre-start and annually • Float to other intermediate areas and critical care units as needed • Work 3 weekends every 6 weeks for a total of 6 weekend shifts • Work either Christmas Eve/Christmas Day and/or New Years Eve/New Years Day • Adhere to call-off policy and maintain teamwork approach • Manage central lines, blood product administration, and telemetry monitoring • Provide care using high flow nasal cannula, external CPAP/BIPAP, and non-invasive airway management • Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias • Implement isolation precautions and infection control measures • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including IV teams, respiratory services, and rapid response teams • Utilize rapid response and code team protocols when necessary • Maintain valid RN license (NC or Compact state) • Provide two manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months • Complete laboratory testing within 48 hours after contract signing • Adhere to fatigue policy limiting work to 5 consecutive days and 60 hours per week
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
