Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Echo Technologist - Echo Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Hospital in Evanston, IL. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform proficient quality echocardiograms for both inpatient and outpatient populations including adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Conduct neonatal echocardiograms in labor and delivery and Infant Special Care Units
• Execute specialized procedures including bubble studies, contrast agents, pharmacologic stress echoes, and treadmill stress echoes
• Maintain competency with Phillips and Siemens equipment and scanner systems
• Learn facility protocols and complete competency sign-off within 1-2 days
• Complete an average daily caseload of 7 patients in an 8-hour period
• Float between multiple sister facilities including locations within the same county area
• Provide on-call coverage twice during contract for 6-7 days (including weekends) from 4pm-7am
• Work rotating weekend coverage every 4th-6th weekend
• Document patient information using Epic charting system
• Obtain evaluation and sign-off from Pediatric Cardiologist for pediatric competencies
• Maintain current BLS certification and required certifications (RDCS-Adult, RCS)
• Provide emergency department echo services as required
• Complete 3-D Echo, M-Mode, TEE, and portable studies as assigned
• Comply with facility dress code requirements for scrubs without logos
• Maintain valid state licensure and provide supervisory references
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in IL
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
